efteling 2009
forests and castles (image 1 of 14)
A big forest, huge castle and sleeping princesses. This can only be fairytale land.
rapunzel's tower (image 2 of 14)
Disney is making this one into a rather promising animation, for now we'll just have to do with the real deal. Thank god we have elevators nowadays.
dragons (image 3 of 14)
As a little kid this thing scared me to death. Now it's a plastic-y tube with smoke coming out, but in respect of my memories this overly cool dragon pic.
colored birds (image 4 of 14)
Dunno how glad those birds were with their paint job, but they looked pretty enough when they flocked together.
girls be girls (image 5 of 14)
Linn sitting on a toadstool, which just begged for a picture. Too cute really.
spring is flower time (image 6 of 14)
Apart from fairytales and attractions, plenty of flowers this time of year. I guess that's what spring does to a park like this.
dream flight (image 7 of 14)
It's hard to take pics in moving carts, but if you don't mind the blurriness this gives a good impression of the Dream Flight attraction. Plenty of work went into this one.
eerie legends (image 8 of 14)
Before thumbling upside down in this man's living room, he tells you the legend of his mischievous crew. He does take his time, but the ride is really worth it.
the birds (image 9 of 14)
Walk under a big bird's ass to enter a roller coaster. I bet you've never done that, unless you've visited the Efteling before. Quite an experience alright, though not without danger.
inside the bird (image 10 of 14)
Inside the big bird, there are lamps creating a somewhat Indian atmosphere. I kid you not. The ride itself is not unlike Space Mountain, just a little tamer.
eerie linn (image 11 of 14)
A pretty eerie pic of Linn, taken on the fly with all possible flair of swiftness. It came out surprisingly well for a silly attempt at energetic photography.
mirrors ahoy (image 12 of 14)
A mirror containing a little holograph of the Flying Dutchman's captain. They've been switching to this kind of technology more and more.
the capt'n (image 13 of 14)
I love when they put much effort in decorating the waiting queues. If you're there for a half an hour anyway, it's better to have something to look at.
another day ending (image 14 of 14)
When the sun started its descend, we called it quits. And with one last look at a ghostly mansion headed back to the exit of the park. Game over.

I'm so friggin' eerie sometimes :)
Another day ending... in colonthree! :3
