paris - day 4
la defense fountain
A fountain at the start of the La Villette area, sporting only modern, glass, steel and concrete buildings. The most futuristic part of Paris no doubt.
spotting the arc
One straight line running from the Louvre to the Arc de la Triomph, straight through this fountain up to the Arche de la Défense. Talk about urban planning.
art stuff
No cars on La Villette and the squares are often littered with artsy statues. A pretty cool one giving flavor to the neighborhood.
cool windows
Pretty cool building, especially the windows are neat and give it a rather unique effect.
2 buildings in one
On a sunny day like this, buildings on the other side of the square reflect quite happily in the glass constructions.
another fountain
Fountains are nice, this one started spouting on regular intervals. Wish I could work in a neighborhood like this.
missing bits
A building missing part of its foundation. I don't think I'd feel all too safe sitting on top of that one though.
cool malls
Visiting Les Quatre Temps, a rather huge and luxurious shopping mall in the center of La Villette.
expo on l'arche
On top of the Arche de la Défense there are always some expos going on. This time it was about the history of the computer. Behold the first 5MB HDD.
view from the top
A view from the top of the Arche de la Défense, spotting the Tour d'Eiffel and the Tour Montparnasse.
my fav building
Really my favorite building of the neighborhood. Wacky design and pretty shiny.
quatre temps from outside
The big shopping mall from outside. Weird architecture everywhere.
la fayette
Pic taken in the shopping mall La Fayette. Expensive as hell, featuring all the big shopping brands like Prada, D&G, Dior etc etc.
close up from the ceiling
Not only the brands in La Fayette are luxurious, the whole building just breaths money.
taking a breather
Taking a little breather in the La Fayette mall. Guess what Linn is admiring in this pic.
rings and things
There it is, the infamous engagement ring. It fit like a charm, which was one thing less to worry about.
bye bye paris
The day was coming to an end and so was our vacation. A final shot of the Paris' skyline.
gare du nord
The point where we left Paris, La Gare du Nord, a pretty big but charming station. It marked the beginning and the end of our vacation in Paris.

Even though I get spam, there are other (and better) ways to fight them than using a captcha. So as long as I don't get into any big trouble, I'll gladly keep this setup :)
And thank you for your kind words!
