Another noir. I've been exploring the genre for a while now and I've come to a point where it has become pretty hard to distinguish one from another. That's no doubt due to the fact that I don't really care for most of them and that too many rigid genre elements make for very similar films. Endless conversations, a minimum of action, and some crummy fight scenes. Also men in raincoats and hats, possibly against rainy backdrops. If only a more serious attempt was made to make the presentation stylish, the characters somewhat interesting, or the plot entertaining, but alas. It's just basic genre fare. Read all
