Plot: Eurydice flees to the big city to escape her violent husband, who is planning on killing her. She goes to stay with her niece, but upon arrival, she bumps into Orpheus. He is engaged to a needy and clingy woman, even so, it's clear that there is chemistry between the two, and they can't seem to avoid each other.

This wasn't my first adaptation of the Orpheus story, but I can't say the plot rang a bell. And to be fair, I'll probably say the same thing the next time I watch an Orpheus adaptation. What will stick is the lively mood of this film. It's set during Brazilian carnival, and that makes a big difference.
I didn't care so much for the story and the characters, but the constant music and the chaotic vibe made this an easier watch than I'd anticipated. The runtime was a bit longer than needed, and there were a few too many lulls for my liking, but fans of unusual adaptations should give it a go.
