It's a Wonderful Life meets slasher comedy. The premise is kinda fun, the film itself is pretty tame and childish. Justin Long seems to be the only one who knows what to do with his part, the rest of the cast had me wondering whether they were briefed on the fact this was not to be taken seriously.

Henry Waters is a tyrant who wants to seize control over a little village. He goes to great lengths to get what he wants, even when that means killing people. Winnie is the one to stop him, but her heroic act comes at a cost. When one night she wishes she had never intervened, she gets a glimpse of what that world would look like.

The idea is interesting, but it's not quite enough to hide the fact that this is just another slasher. Sadly, the murders are pretty bland, the teen drama is uninteresting and the alternative world is basic. It's not a terrible film, but neither is it a very memorable one. Just some holiday-based horror filler.
