Slightly silly but amusing romance draped against the 17th century tulip mania. The setting is little more than an excuse to dress up some famous actors, but at least there's some decent intrigue keeping the romance interesting. Tulip Fever isn't a horrible film, but it's a little dull and expected, with very little to set it apart from its peers.
