It's not every day you get a chance to see a Ugandan thriller, so when Netflix added The Girl in the Yellow Jumper, I went for it. The film has a rather basic but fun setup, with a bunch of people in a car who are clearly hiding something from each other. It's up to the audience to figure out what the hell is going on. This isn't a very original film, nor are the twists at the end very inventive. But the execution really isn't all that bad. Some funny animations, solid dialogues, appropriate pacing with well-timed reveals and proper cinematography make this a pleasant and amusing genre film.
