Cheesy 80s action flick, featuring Patrick Swayze as some kind of super bouncer. It's a weird premise, and he isn't the most convincing playing an action hero, but the film is goofy and silly enough to be somewhat entertaining. At the very least, it's not as bad as some of the more notorious action films of that era. Funky people throw fists, shoot guns, and things explode without any obvious reason, but that's what these films are all about. The performances are pretty bad, the setting is rather dull, and the presentation is limited. But hey, Road House doesn't take itself too seriously, which nearly makes it a decent film. Read all
