Plot: Ma Bu Kua wants to marry the girl he loves, but an old curse is keeping his family in its grip. When his elder brother was married to a paper bride, disaster struck and the family has lived under ill fate ever since. Before Ma Bu Kua can marry the curse must be broken first, but that requires another marriage with a paper bride.

The funny thing about these streamer films is that when they are somewhat longer and show more ambition (which in itself is pretty commendable), the quality tends to take a small dip. Paper Bride is a fun and solid film, but a shorter, more punchier version of this story would've been even better.
The paper bride story is a nice piece of folklore that fits the mystery/horror film genre (it's not the first time I run into it), the cinematography is pleasant and the horror/mystery elements are properly executed. The finale could've been shorter though and the performances aren't the best, but if you're looking for a fun genre exercise, you won't be disappointed.
